Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO)

We can provide cover for one week or one year – longer if you need it.

Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO)

WillisPalmer’s Independent Reviewing Officer service is different. We have fully trained and experienced Independent Reviewing Officers on standby to assist you if you have capacity problems or if you are looking to contract out a set number of reviews.

We are different because:

  • Our service is fully managed by an experienced quality assurance and review manager at no extra cost to you
  • We have a large number of trained IROs in your area meaning travel costs are kept to a minimum
  • Our IRO service will save you money – our research shows we are a third cheaper than if you employ agency staff
  • We have almost zero turnover of staff meaning children see the same IRO for as long as you need us

Quality: Assured

Our Independent Reviewing Officers undertake regular training to support them in carrying out their role. We ensure that all IROs are up to date on developments from Ofsted inspections and review their practice accordingly.

WillisPalmer’s Independent Reviewing Officers are supervised by the Quality Assurance and Review Manager. Supervision includes regular one to one meetings; monitoring of review records and regular observation of practice. The Quality Assurance and Review Manager will also take steps to gather feedback from young people, parents or carers, foster carers and professionals.

Flexibility

Our service is available when you need it. We can provide cover for one week or one year – longer if you need it. We can do one review or 100 reviews. This is why we can afford to provide the service cost effectively to you as we have experienced IROs standing by to help you today.
