Applications received in last six months more than 20% up on 2015.
The latest care application figures for September 2016 have been announced by Cafcass showing they received a total of 1,216 care applications.
This is a 23% increase on the figures received during September last year.
The latest year to date figures show an increase of 23.1% totalling 7,438 applications since April this year. The average figure for new monthly care applications now stands at over 1,200 since January 2016.
