Forensic Sexual Abuse Risk Assessment
We can assess adults who pose a potential sexual risk to children, or young people who may display sexually harmful behaviour.
We assess adults using the Risk for Sexual Violence Protocol (RSVP), a validated set of professional guidelines containing 22 risk factors. We can also undertake assessment of adults who have viewed child abuse images on the internet – and can also assess the ability of an offender’s partner to protect children from any risk.
We use the Estimate of Risk of Adolescent Sexual Offence Recidivism (ERASOR) clinical judgement tool to assess young people against 25 risk factors. This allows us to assess an adolescent’s likelihood or predisposition to behave in sexually harmful ways.
Although an emerging area of work, our consultants have specific experience in evaluating children’s sexual behaviour. We have developed practice experience and training packages and we also use the Assessment Intervention Moving on (AIM) model to help in our evaluation of sexual behaviour.
