Pre-Proceedings Preparations
WillisPalmer is providing skilled and experienced social workers to partner with local authorities in preparing high risk cases for court applications.
This resource provides additional capacity for local authority children’s services without the need to recruit temporary staff when fluctuations in demand do not merit it.
Moreover, the resourcing model is cost effective in that our social workers are fully self reliant, are equipped with effective IT and communication systems, work remotely from home and have access to professional supervision and support.
Our service offers:-
- Completion of up to date high quality Core Assessments which can be relied upon by the court
- Completion of chronologies
- Identification of kinship options through FGC’s and Viability Assessments
- Expert risk assessments (e.g. domestic violence, substance misuse, sexual abuse)

Preparation for court is time consuming and requires skilled and experienced practitioners. It can also remove practitioners from meeting the needs of other children on their caseload.
By commissioning WillisPalmer on a case by case basis the local authority can be assured that the pre-proceedings work will be completed to an exceptional standard, in a timely fashion whilst saving the local authority time and money.
