Roger Vobe

I am an experienced Independent Social Work Consultant providing reports for the courts, local authorities and independent agencies. I specialise in undertaking complex family based assessments in respect of parenting capacity and risk; kinship; contact and children’s placement needs. I have over thirty years’ experience of child welfare at practice and policy levels, during which I have been: self employed Guardian ad Litem/Children’s Guardian/Independent Social Worker for the last 19 years in London and the south east of England; responsible for managing a social services department; author of two policy studies published by the Department of Health; co-author of a paper to the first international congress on child abuse; external lecturer at the police staff college; responsible for managing adoption agencies and chairman of local multidisciplinary groups concerning child abuse and protection.
