Lesley Reiff

I qualified in Social Work in 1984 (CQSW) and formerly worked as a Paediatric Liaison Child Protection Social Worker, Senior Practitioner and Team Manager, for both the NSPCC and local authorities. I have significant experience working within child protection, undertaking parenting/risk assessments, direct work with children, therapeutic group work and I have a specialist interest in domestic violence issues and the associated impact upon women and children. Relevent experience and skills includes: 12 years as a Children’s Guardian; a member of appraisal and appointment committees for Guardian ad Litem Panels; Independent parenting / risk assessments (11 years); worked in a unit, assessing and treating the impact of domestic violence on children; direct therapeutic work with children; consultancy in relation to child protection issues for local authorities and the Police; acted as consultant and assisted in the establishment of women’s refuges.
