I work as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist in private practice undertaking independent psychological assessments for local authorities and the courts. I have worked as a fully qualified and chartered Child Psychologist for over 10 years and have considerable experience and knowledge of working with African, African Caribbean, Asian and Mixed heritage children and families. I also have a good working knowledge of religion and different belief systems and how these impact on perceptions about child care, child rearing and parenting.
I have extensive experience in working with children, young people and families around issues of emotional, physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence and neglect.
My work has included conducting detailed child, adolescent and family psychometric cognitive and emotional functioning assessments in relation to harm and trauma, attachment assessments and assessments and working with families where alcohol and/or substance misuse and domestic violence are issues. I have also provided therapeutic, dynamic and cognitive behavioral intervention and treatment for children, young people and families referred to me.
