Craig Barlow

I am a Forensic Social Worker specialising in the assessment, support and management of sexual and violent offenders. I conduct formalised risk assessments of those convicted or alleged to have sexually abused children and young people and/or those who have committed violent offences. I have a special interest in offenders with learning disabilities and have published a number of papers on this subject.

I have been working independently since 1998, initially providing training in working with Challenging Behaviour and Mental Health issues. Over the past 8 years I have covered most aspects of social work practice but child protection, protection of vulnerable adults and work with offenders/abusers have consistently represented my core activity. I have regularly provided training to Health and Social Services, Police, Private and Voluntary agencies.

As well as training and development I work as an Independent Consultant in Forensic Social Work, undertaking risk assessments and advising on risk management strategies and interventions. Based in Milton Keynes I work throughout the country and abroad.
