Alison Atkinson

I am an experienced qualified social worker with over twenty years experience working with children and families. I have worked independently since 1998. I have broad experience within child care services having worked in child protection, mental health and family placements. I have significant experience undertaking home based assessments for potential family placements having undertaken numerous BAAF F forms and other independent assessments as an independent social worker over the past eight years.

For the past five years I have chaired the Barking and Dagenham Fostering Panel and have also undertaken complaints investigations for the Quality Assurance department in a large independent foster care agency. I recently took up work auditing files for Hertfordshire children & family services.
