The Practice Learning Centre (PLC) was established to provide a valuable resource for practitioners working with children and families in the UK.
The PLC has been created by WillisPalmer and Kites Children’s Services, two established companies providing services for children and young people including; residential and foster placements, social work services, psychology and treatment. The PLC is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people through four simple aims:to promote and disseminate good practice; to support ongoing learning for practitioners; to build on knowledge and experience.

The Practice Learning Centre takes an active interest in policy developments in child welfare services and aims to contribute to practice improvements. The PLC Senior Consultant is Dr David O’Hara, Associate Professor at the Westchester Institute for Human Development in New York State.
