WillisPalmer Terms & Conditions

In commissioning the services of WillisPalmer the referrer accepts our terms and conditions as outlined below:

  1. A costing proposal (Proposal of Work) will be provided by WillisPalmer at the outset of any proposed work. This is an estimate of the number of hours it is anticipated the work will take and may vary according to the circumstances of
    each individual piece of work.
  2. Upon completion of the work WillisPalmer will invoice for the work undertaken. Payment terms are 30 days and in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. We reserve the right to charge interest on late payments.
  3. Work of an ongoing nature extending beyond two months (from start to finish) may be invoiced on a monthly basis.
  4. All failed appointments or those cancelled at short notice (less than 48 hours), whether cancelled by the client or any other person, will be charged at the full rate as if the appointment had gone ahead.
  5. The referring agency or instructing solicitor(s) is/are liable for payment of WillisPalmer’s fees in full. Where funding is shared between more than one commissioning agency, all those agencies are responsible for WillisPalmer fees.
  6. If the referring agency or instructing solicitor requires representatives from WillisPalmer to attend meetings, not previously included in the costing proposal or letter of instruction, WillisPalmer reserves the right to charge an additional fee based upon the hourly rate previously agreed.
  7. If at any stage WillisPalmer is no longer required to continue with the commissioned work the referring agency or instructing solicitor(s) will pay all fees incurred by WillisPalmer up to the point of cancellation.
  8. WillisPalmer agrees to provide its report (where one has been requested), by the date agreed, except where the circumstances of the case demand changes in the previously agreed timescale.
  9. Professionals from WillisPalmer involved in a case will be available to attend Court, if required, subject to reasonable notice being given. An attendance fee will be charged on a half day and whole day basis. WillisPalmer will notify the referrer or instructing solicitor of this attendance fee in advance. If Court attendance is requested but subsequently cancelled with less than 3 working days notice WillisPalmer reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee, which will be 80% of the agreed attendance fee.
